Heavy Towing Team Recovers Abandoned Logging Truck

Our heavy towing team made an emergency trip down to Gold Beach when a logging truck ran into serious trouble.A truck driver was not having the best of days to say the least!

As he was driving down Highway 101 in Gold Beach, Oregon, our customer’s logging truck had run into some severe issues. The turbo had malfunctioned. It began spewing black smoke and pumping toxic chemicals into the air! Before things got too out of hand, the driver safely pulled over and exited the vehicle.

The driver made a quick phone call to Mast Brothers Towing & Recovery and explained the situation. He informed us he was on a tight time schedule, so he needed to rush off, leave the truck, and get to his next job ASAP. For our team, that was no issue! They arranged for the driver to hide his keys in a safe location and leave the rest of the work to them.

The Mast Bros team quickly arrived on the scene and located the keys. They carefully assessed the situation and came up with a plan to save the logging truck.

First, they disconnected the driveline on the broken-down logging truck, lifted the rear end of the truck, and attached it to an axle with axle forks. Lastly, they secured everything with heavy chains so nothing would break or come loose while they were towing the vehicle back.

Our team safety brought the logging truck back to Gold Coast Truck Repair in Coos Bay where they handed over the job.

What a day! Well done to the team for handling this one as professionally as ever.
